Brighton is probably the best city in the UK for vegetarians. There are so many excellent veggie cafés, restaurants and wholefood and health stores.

At the seafront, you can enjoy strolls on the shingle beach, watch the sunset, or go for the funfair rides on the pier. The walkways along the seafront are buzzing day and night with cafés bars and nightclubs, as well as a large children's playground, boules and basketball courts, and of course ice cream!
Brighton is situated very close to the South Downs, so places like Lewes, Alfriston, Eastbourne, Chichester and Arundel, as well as lots of beautiful Sussex villages are easy to reach.
One of our favourite activities in the Summer is to take the open-topped 77 bus up to Devil's Dyke and enjoy the views and walks.
Cycling around Brighton
Cycling is the fastest way to get around Brighton. and there are many interesting cycle rides to be had up on the South Downs (challenging) or along the coast (relatively gentle). We welcome cyclists and can store bikes overnight.
